A Magical Disney Movie, Cars….

Disney Pixar has come out with some entertaining movies for boys and girls over the years. Cars is one of those. The first movie was such a big hit, Disney went on to make two more. Hallmark wanted to help celebrate the Cars movies and made them into Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments over the years.

The beginning of the Disney Cars Series….

In 2006 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments came out with the ornament Lightning McQueen and Mater. This is also the feature picture for this blog. Here is a two piece Hallmark Keepsake Ornament set. Lightning McQueen and Mater are great pals and go many miles together. This is a hard to find ornament set.

Best Friends…..

Lightning McQueen is trying to help his best friend Mater in this Hallmark Ornament, One Stuck Truck!

There is also the 2010 Piston Cup Tire Tree where McQueen and Mater are sitting around a Christmas tree made of tires with a Piston Cup on the top.

2010_piston_cup_tire_tree.jpg

Lightning McQueen and Sally….

These two love birds are just going for a drive in the 2007 Lightning McQueen and Sally Hallmark Keepsake Ornament. Sally shows Lightning McQueen that here is another way to see life- learning to slow down and seeing the country side instead of the race track. This is a two car ornament set.

Racing is the Reward….

On your marks, get set, go! Lightning McQueen and Francesco Bernoule are at the starting line and ready to go! International Race Rivals comes from the Cars 2 movie.

Lovable Mater…..

Who better to guard against peeking at presents under the tree? Mater has a Santa hat on and will warn when peekers are near the Christmas tree. This Hallmark Ornament, Mater Peekbuster, is motion and sound activated. Mater will give the “Peekster” warning if they get too close!

Fisher Price….A Trip Down Memory Lane

Growing up, I have many fond memories of Fisher Price toys. Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments has been turning those fond memories into ornaments for us to relive those wonderful childhood memories during the holiday season.

The First to Start the Series….

In 2007, Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments started the Fisher Price series with toys from years ago. The first in the series is the See N Say. A childhood classic toy, the See N Say, made by Fisher Price is a 2007 Hallmark Keepsake ornament. Pull on the string and hear the authentic sounds of education.

2007_see_n_say

The Barn with all the Animals….

I will never forget when you opened the barn door on the farm and it would make a mooing sound. The Play Family Farm does the same! This 2008, Hallmark Keepsake ornament, Play Family Farm, is the classic toy that displays sounds on a farm. Open the barn door on this Hallmark Keepsake ornament and see what animal sound you hear.

hallmark_2008_family_farm.jpg

The Newest Addition to the Series….

The newest Fisher Price Hallmark Keepsake Ornament is the Change-a-Tune Piano. Rotate the knob to hear one of three classic tunes.

The Feature Pictured Ornament….

The 2011 Little People Lil Movers Fire Truck, is what is the featured picture for this blog entry.

 Two of my Personal Favorites….

From the Hallmark Fisher Price Ornament series, my two favorites are the 2009 Chatter Telephone and the 2009 School Bus.

2009chattertelephone.jpg    2009_school_bus_fisher_pric.jpg

A miniature version of the 1960’s classic Fisher Price toy, the Chatter Telephone has all of the bright color and the wheels move like that original one. The School Bus has the wheels that move and the bus driver and people inside.

What are everyone’s big plans for the weekend? We have Aiden the Elf’s birthday party Saturday that we are all looking forward to. I think we will finish up with the Christmas decorations and get up the last of the trees. Of course we will have some work to do because an elf’s work is never done. It is a good thing we love what we do!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Do not forget to check The Ornament Factory out on our other social media. We are on Facebook,Twitter , and Instagram!

All of the elves and I sure do like to watch Disney movies. We all have had a time where we are hooked on different Disney movies. Right now Jack the Elf is watching all of the Cars movies and Finding Nemo all day everyday. He will probably be writing blogs on those in the future. One of my favorites is Beauty and the Beast. I love Belles dress and the beautiful red rose.

The Beauty of Birds…..

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The elves and I had a great weekend and enjoyed a lot of yummy food! We were able to get some more decorating done too. Jack the elf has been busy with the outside lights. Elves, Brandon, Big Daniel, and Aiden have been hard at work doing some of the inside decorating getting the big tree up and lights on it. It takes some time but it looks amazing when they are done. Ben and Nathan have been busy shopping. This time of year is always magical!

I have always enjoyed looking outside and seeing the different birds. The more colorful the better. Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments has a special collection of just birds called Beauty of Birds. This series celebrates many different types of birds for the holidays.

The Start of Beauty of Birds….

The Beauty of Birds series started in 2005 with the Northern Cardinal, Beauty of Birds #1. The stunning Cardinal would look beautiful on any tree!

2005_northern_cardinal

As the Years Went on….

The 2015 Western Tanager, Beauty of Birds #11 is another beautiful bird in the series. Looking spectacular with his red and gold plumes, the Western Tanager is the 11th in the Beauty of Birds series. Add him to your collection and you can almost hear him singing in the pinewood tree.

qx9159.jpg

Cedar Waxwing, Beauty of Birds #9 was introduced in 2013. Love the beauty of backyard birds? This year’s addition to the Beauty of Birds series features an artistically crafted cedar waxwing. He’s proudly perched on a twig of mistletoe, which just might become this berry eater’s next meal.

QX9102.jpg

The last of the series I would like to share is Pine Grosbeak. This Hallmark Keepsake Ornament joined the series in 2016 and is 12th in the series. Holding a twig a berries to share this beauty has vibrant colors to make it stand out.

qx9111.jpg

You could make an entire tree out of this Hallmark Keepsake series. If you have a bird lover in your family or friends these would make a great Christmas gift. I have seen some people that have smaller trees decorated with some of the Beauty of Birds Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments too.

Back to work I go! Lots to do here at The Ornaments Factory! I am looking forward to later when I can go home and get some more decorating done. I have some great ideas for more lights. You can never have enough Christmas lights.

Thanksgiving will be here soon…

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!! All of the elves have been busy getting ready to celebrate the holiday. Do not worry, we are still very busy at The Ornament Factory shipping out all of the orders. Thankfully we have been able to get a few more elves to help us out. As we are working we keep talking about all of food we will be making for Thanksgiving. I do not know about you but I am looking forward to mashed potatoes! What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?

Traditions….

Family traditions are always special around the holidays. We have a tradition of watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade every year. I always get excited at the end when Santa shows up. It is always nice to see the big guy. We also have the tradition of putting up more Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. Hopefully it will not be too cold outside.

2018 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments I am Excited About….

I have a few more trees to put up in my home right after Thanksgiving. One of the 2018 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments I am excited to put up is the 2018 Christmas Belle, from the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast. This is a Premium ornament that comes in a special box.

2999QXD6276_thumbnail.jpg

The BIG question about Harley Davidson and The Grinch.

Hello fellow Hallmark Keepsake Ornament fans! All of the elves here at The Ornament Factory have been receiving many questions about two of the well loved Hallmark Ornament series. I am here to set the record straight on them.

The BIG Question….

The question we have been asked a lot lately is why is there no new 2018 Harley Davidson or Grinch Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments? This is a good question from fans of those two series.

The Answer….

Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments no longer has the licensing agreement for Harley Davidson and The Grinch. The 2017 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments for these two well loved series were the last.

There is Hope….

These two series could still return. Back in 2012 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments had this very thing happen with Mattel and had to stop making a popular series, Barbie, among others. In 2015 the beloved Barbie series came back as Hallmark was able to get the licensing agreement back. Barbie even did something cute with one of the 2015 ornaments. They did the Celebration Barbie from the two years that were missed. These were the 2013 and 2014 Celebration Barbie Ornament Set and the 2013 and 2014 Celebration Barbie Ornament set (African American).

You Can Still Order….

All of the previous years Hallmark Ornaments from the Harley Davidson series and The Grinch series are still available! You can still order them from The Ornament Factory.

A Few of the Harley Davidson Ornaments….

The 1999 Electra-Glide continues the evolution of this classic touring motorcycle. The Electra-Glide name became part of the Harley-Davidson legend when an electric starter was added to the Panhead motor in 1965. The Panhead gave way to the Shovelhead (1966) and Evo (1984). This series will feature a selection of motorcycles from Harley-Davidson’s 96-year history. Add the1999 Electra-Glide, Mini Harley-Davidson #1 to your collection today.

1999_mini_harley_electra_gl.jpg

The next Harley Davidson Hallmark Ornament for you to see is the 2003 100th Anniv. Ed. Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Since its introduction in 1965, the mighty Electra Glide has reigned supreme as the King of the Highway. For the 100th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson, the 2003 Ultra Classic Electra Glide takes touring comfort to new levels with its powerful Twin Cam 88 V-twin engine mated to a smooth 5-speed transmission. The Ultra features electronic cruise control, front and rear speakers, fairing and lowers, CB, intercom for rider and passenger, and spacious saddlebags and Tour Pak. With its striking Black and Sterling Silver paint, special anniversary badges, and gold cast wheels, the 2003 Ultra Classic Electra Glide ranks easily as one of the most beautiful motorcycles on the road.

2003_100th_anniv_ultra_clas.jpg

The last Harley Davidson Hallmark Ornament for you to see in this blog is the 2000 Fat Boy, Harley Davidson #2. The Fat Boy was introduced in 1990, styled in a monochromatic silver/gray with contrasting, sparse yellow highlights. Its Evolution engine, narrowed front fenders, and custom air cleaner make it the ultimate Factory Custom in the Softail family line.

The last Hallmark Ornament for The Grinch series I will be sharing today is the 2008 A Smile Most Unpleasant.  The Grinch is stealing Christmas in the Hallmark Keepsake ornament.

When Barbie Made Her Comeback

Barbie has always been a popular Hallmark Keepsake Ornament series. In 2012 Hallmark lost the licensing agreement with Mattel and had to stop  making the Barbie Hallmark Ornaments. 2012 was going to be the last year Hallmark Ornaments would make Barbie. It wasn’t just the Barbie Ornaments that they had to stop making, they had to stop other popular series like Hot Wheels, Fisher Price, and G.I. Joe. Thankfully an agreement was made and all of these started back in 2015. Since coming back many of the old series of Barbie Keepsake Ornaments have continued.

The Come Back….

In 2015, when Hallmark Ornaments was able to start making ornaments after Mattel toys, they came back with 2013 and 2014 Celebration Barbie Ornament Set. Inspired by the 2013 and 2014 Holiday Barbie dolls, this Keepsake Ornament set is a must-have for collectors of all ages and the perfect way to celebrate the Barbie tradition of fabulous holiday fashions

Each year this beautiful new series will feature a different Holiday Barbie doll. This Hallmark Keepsake Ornament is a must-have for collectors of all ages and the perfect way to celebrate the Barbie tradition of fabulous holiday fashions.

Those are some beautiful Barbie Hallmark Ornaments! I know there are young girls and even some not so young girls that would love a Christmas tree filled with Hallmark Barbie Ornaments.

Last night Little Daniel and I went and got hair cuts at our favorite hair cutting place. They are so nice and let us pick out a prize from their treasure chest for being good. I think I may be going home soon from The Ornament Factory and laying down. I seem to have caught a cold. I’ll get a nice mug of tea and relax and watch a Christmas movie. That will help make me feel better. Thank you for reading my blog! I hope you have a wonderful day! If you’d like to see there Barbie Hallmark Ornaments and the other check out The Ornament Factory http://www.hallmarkornaments.com

A Christmas Story

A Christmas classic that has been enjoyed for generations is the 1983  movie A Christmas Story. Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments has a series for the movie of well known scenes and objects from the movie. This movie has become a family tradition to watch for some families and would make a great tradition to have on your Christmas tree.

One of the iconic symbols from the movie is the Leg Lamp that was displayed in the window. From the 2018 Hallmark Keepsake release they have the Leg Lamp.

1799QXI3106_thumbnail.jpg

Another well known part of the movie has the main character. Ralphie, dressed in a pink bunny costume. The first Hallmark ornament of this series, 2006, Bunny Suit, shows Ralphie in the pink bunny suit. This is a rare ornament to find due to its popularity.

hallmark_2006_bunny_suit.jpg

This pink bunny was also shown in the 2009 ornament, Ralphies Pink Nightmare.

2009ralphiespinknightmare.jpg

One of my favorite scenes is where Ralphie gets his tongue stuck to the cold pole. Every time we watch this it makes me laugh.

This 2006 Hallmark Ornament depicts the famous scene from A Christmas Story which proved that no kid in his right mind would turn down a double dog dare. I Double Dog Dare Ya, will make any A Christmas Story fan smile.

hallmark_2006_double_dare.jpg

Another Hallmark ornament from this scene is the 2010, Triple Dog Dare. The boys all huddled round Flick and Schwartz at recess, leaning in close so they wouldn’t miss a word. It was easy enough to brush off a simple dare, but it wasn’t just a dare or even a double dare. Oh, no. This was a dirty, rotten triple-dog dare. Flick had no choice – there was just no getting out of something like that!

2010_triple-dog_dare.jpg

You can see these Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments and the others in the series on our website http://www.hallmarkornaments.com.

Hope you have a great day whatever you are doing!
