The Popular Hallmark Ornaments, Star Trek!

Growing up my dad would always watch Star Trek, so I watched it with him. I would imagine myself being on Star Trek and riding in the different ships and using the cool machines they had. Here are some of my favorites but you can look and find your favorites here.

Starship Enterprise….

The crown jewel of most Hallmark ornament collections, as well as many Star Trek collections, the 1991 Starship Enterprise is one of the most sought after Hallmark Keepsake ornaments ever produced. Modeled after the U.S.S. Enterprise from the 1960s hit television show, Star Trek, this Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features red and green flashing lights and a bridge light that glows. The timing of the release of this ornament helped to commemorate the twenty fifth anniversary of the original Star Trek television series. When this famous starship was released by Hallmark in 1991, it was the hit of the season, and impossible to locate by most avid Star Trek fans as Hallmark stores across the country sold out almost instantly, making it a highly sought after ornament by Hallmark ornament and Star Trek collectors alike.

Shuttlecraft Galileo….

The follow up to the 1991 Starship Enterpirse ornament, the Shuttlecraft Galileo Hallmark ornament was released in 1992, and was also a huge hit with Star Trek collectors. Not only did the cockpit of the NCC-1701/7 light up, but it also features a special holiday message from the First Officer of the USS Enterprise, Mr. Spock. To hear Spock’s message, “Shuttlecraft to Enterprise, Shuttlecraft to Enterprise. Spock here. Happy Holidays. Live long, and prosper,” press the button on the bottom of the shuttlecraft.

Starfleet Tricorder….

In Star Trek when they go on missions that always take their Starfleet Tricorder with them. Press the button on the ornament to see the screen illuminate and hear dialogue from from the original “STAR TREK” television series!

Lionel Trains

After watching some Christmas movies with the other elves I have noticed that the Christmas trees in the movies have trains around them. It made me think of the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament series of Lionel Trains. This series started in 1996. Other train cars were added to the series over the years. The Tender was added to the series in 1999 and a third car was added in 2002. The trains that were added to the series change every year according the train for that year. This series continues to be popular with collectors.

From 2017….

In 2017, Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments came out with the 671 S-2 Turbine Steam Locomotive.  This is the 22nd ornament in the series. This sleek black locomotive has wheels that move and will compliment your other Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments on your tree.

The Newest Addition to the Series, from 2018….

The newest addition and the 23rd train in the series is the Lionel 2245P Texas Special Locomotive. This ornaments has wheels that move. The read and silver locomotive will be a stand out on your tree with the other Lionel Train Hallmark Ornaments.

Where it All Started in 1996 ….

The first in the Lionel Series came in 1996 called 700E Hudson Steam Locomotive. This Keepsake Ornament series features popular LIONEL locomotives and leads off with the highly collectible 700E Hudson. The first die-cast engine of its kind, it was manufactured in O-gauge in 1937. A favorite of company founder Joshua Lionel Cowen, it was offered again in 1990. The number 5344 was given to the real-life Hudson by its builder, the New York Central Railroad.

As a child I have wonderful memories of playing with trains. Seeing these Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments makes me feel like a kid again. I have one entire tree full of just train Hallmark Ornaments.

It is time to get back to The Ornament Factory and get some more work done. You can see the Lionel Train Hallmark Ornament series and all the others at http://www.hallmarkornaments.com . Have a wonderful Thursday!

Marlin and Nemo shown in this Hallmark Ornament are the fearless father and son pair swimming around pink coral. Marlin has had such a close bond with his son since Nemo was the last of the children that survived the shark at the beginning of the movie.

The other elves and I have had an extremely busy weekend! Let me tell you, the boxes we put together, the  ornaments we pulled, we had to make a run to get more packing peanuts too! Thankfully I was able to run out and get right back from that. We took a little bit of time and had a birthday party to Aiden the elf. He looks good for his age!

Back to work! Thank you to everyone who has been ordering. We hope you have enjoyed the sales we have done. You can see all of the Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments from The Ornament Factory at http://www.hallmarkornaments.com Have a happy Monday!

A Magical Disney Movie, Cars….

Disney Pixar has come out with some entertaining movies for boys and girls over the years. Cars is one of those. The first movie was such a big hit, Disney went on to make two more. Hallmark wanted to help celebrate the Cars movies and made them into Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments over the years.

The beginning of the Disney Cars Series….

In 2006 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments came out with the ornament Lightning McQueen and Mater. This is also the feature picture for this blog. Here is a two piece Hallmark Keepsake Ornament set. Lightning McQueen and Mater are great pals and go many miles together. This is a hard to find ornament set.

Fisher Price….A Trip Down Memory Lane

Growing up, I have many fond memories of Fisher Price toys. Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments has been turning those fond memories into ornaments for us to relive those wonderful childhood memories during the holiday season.

The First to Start the Series….

In 2007, Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments started the Fisher Price series with toys from years ago. The first in the series is the See N Say. A childhood classic toy, the See N Say, made by Fisher Price is a 2007 Hallmark Keepsake ornament. Pull on the string and hear the authentic sounds of education.

2007_see_n_say

The Barn with all the Animals….

I will never forget when you opened the barn door on the farm and it would make a mooing sound. The Play Family Farm does the same! This 2008, Hallmark Keepsake ornament, Play Family Farm, is the classic toy that displays sounds on a farm. Open the barn door on this Hallmark Keepsake ornament and see what animal sound you hear.

 Two of my Personal Favorites….

From the Hallmark Fisher Price Ornament series, my two favorites are the 2009 Chatter Telephone and the 2009 School Bus.

2009chattertelephone.jpg    2009_school_bus_fisher_pric.jpg

A miniature version of the 1960’s classic Fisher Price toy, the Chatter Telephone has all of the bright color and the wheels move like that original one. The School Bus has the wheels that move and the bus driver and people inside.

What are everyone’s big plans for the weekend? We have Aiden the Elf’s birthday party Saturday that we are all looking forward to. I think we will finish up with the Christmas decorations and get up the last of the trees. Of course we will have some work to do because an elf’s work is never done. It is a good thing we love what we do!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Do not forget to check The Ornament Factory out on our other social media. We are on Facebook,Twitter , and Instagram!
