Peanuts ornaments are at their best when the pose tells you what happened a second before—and what is probably about to go wrong. Three 2026 releases do that in completely different ways: Lucy tangled in lights, Charlie Brown losing another kite, and three friends circling a carnival ride. The right choice depends as much on where you will display it as on which scene makes you smile.

Lucy’s All Tangled Up!: the small scene that reads instantly
Lucy’s All Tangled Up! (QXI1743) is the compact choice of the three. The Ornament Factory lists it at 1 by 2.25 by 1.25 inches, with no batteries or power cord to manage. Lucy’s expression and the multicolored light string do all the storytelling.
That modest footprint makes Lucy useful on a traditional tree where larger scenes would compete for space. Hang her close enough to eye level that the tangled-light joke is easy to read, or let her stand on a shelf beside other character pieces. Because there is no button to reach and no cord to hide, she also works well farther back on a branch. The Ornament Factory showed this ornament out of stock when checked on October 21, 2026, so use the product page’s waiting-list option if it is the one you want.

The Kite-Eating Christmas Tree: the scene-setting centerpiece
The Kite-Eating Christmas Tree (QXI1756) is a much larger scene, about 4.34 by 4.3 by 3.75 inches. It needs a Hallmark Keepsake Power Cord, sold separately, to create its continuous light effect. That cord requirement matters: this is easiest to enjoy near a powered section of the tree or as a tabletop display where the wire can be routed behind the scene.
The fun collector detail is that the “kite-eating tree” was a recurring Peanuts problem long before anyone turned it into a Christmas tree. The tree became an explanation for Charlie Brown’s mysteriously disappearing kites—and another expression of his stubborn willingness to try again. Here, Charlie Brown and Snoopy are left looking up at the red kite while the tree lights glow around it.
This was in stock at The Ornament Factory on October 21. Before adding it to your display, confirm that you have the correct Keepsake Power Cord and enough room around the nearly 4½-inch scene. It deserves breathing space; crowding it between similarly large ornaments hides the characters and the glowing tree.

Off to the Races!: sound, motion and a button worth leaving accessible
Off to the Races! (QXI1753) combines three kinds of action. Press the button and Charlie Brown, Lucy and Franklin circle the tower in their airplanes while the ornament plays “Over the Waves.” It runs on three replaceable AAA batteries and measures about 4.29 by 3.07 by 4.5 inches.
Give this one a stable branch or display surface, and keep the activation button within reach. Motion ornaments are more fun when guests can actually operate them; burying the button against the trunk turns the best feature into a once-a-year demonstration. Remove the batteries before long-term storage, and store them separately from the ornament to protect the battery compartment.
Choose by the experience you want
- For a crowded tree: Lucy is compact, expressive and has no power setup.
- For a glowing Peanuts scene: The Kite-Eating Christmas Tree has the strongest visual presence, but it needs the separate power cord.
- For hands-on fun: Off to the Races! adds music and motion, with ordinary AAA batteries that are easy to replace.
The two Magic pieces were in stock when checked on October 21, while Lucy was waiting-list only. Availability changes quickly after Ornament Debut, so follow the linked product pages for the current status. You can also browse the complete Peanuts ornament collection at The Ornament Factory.
