SNEAK PEEK – NEW STAR WARS HALLMARK ORNAMENTS REVEALED

With the 2024 Hallmark ornaments arriving in just a couple weeks, and all of the excitement surrounding the 2024 Hallmark Ornament Premiere event, it’s hard to believe that we are talking about ornaments that won’t be released for an entire year right now – but since we all love Hallmark ornaments and/or Star wars, its impossible not to talk about them! So, with that said, we have some very exciting news about two Star Wars ornaments that are scheduled to be released – one at the 2024 Comic Cons, and another in 2025! One of them will fit in perfectly with an ornament that will be released in early October during the 2024 Hallmark Ornament Debut event, and the other 2025 Hallmark ornament will be released for Star Wars Day (May 4th, 2025).

May the 4th Be With You

Currently scheduled for May 4th, 2025, we have Commander Cody. For this ornament, we will have Commander Cody in the famous scene from Star Wars, Episode III – Revenge of the Sith where he is holding a hologram of Emperor Palatine / Darth Sidious giving the notorious instructions “Commander Cody. The time has come. Execute order sixty-six” to which Commander Cody replies “It will be done”. At that moment, Cody orders the clone troopers with him to “blast him”, as he points to Obi-Wan Kenobi, riding up on a far away ledge. Order 66 was the secret order built into the clone army which ordered the clones to wipe out all of the Jedi.

Hopefully, unlike this year for Star Wars Day 2024, the ornaments will arrive timely, and all Star Wars Fans and Hallmark Ornament collectors will be able to enjoy an early Star Wars ornament in 2025, in the form of Commander Cody. The 2024 Darth Maul ornament was originally scheduled to be the 2024 Star Wars Day Hallmark ornament, but due to some unknown issues, this plan was never executed. Here is to better days ahead – and to Commander Cody! This will be the very first Hallmark ornament produced of Commander Cody, and should fit in well with the rest of your Clone Trooper army.

Note: Although a photo of this ornament is “out there”, it is watermarked with a copyright, and so in order to be respectful of Hallmark’s copyright, that particular image has not been included with this article – but an image of Commander Cody that very closely resembles the ornament has been added in it’s place.

Star Wars Action Figures – as Hallmark Ornaments

In October 2024, Hallmark ornament collectors will have the very first Star Wars action figure – mint, in the unopened package – as a Hallmark ornament to hang on their Christmas tree. This unique Christmas tree ornament will feature none other than the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader! Many Star Wars fans remember distinctly opening this action figure as a child, or remember huge displays of action figures at Toys R Us, Children’s Palace, or other 1970s toy stores, or might just remember seeing it in the Sears or JCPenny’s holiday catalogue. In any case, the nostalgic is strong with this 2024 Darth Vader Hallmark Keepsake ornament, and most Star Wars Hallmark ornament collectors are planning on adding this ornament to their collection.

However – one of the biggest questions that came when this 2024 Darth Vader action figure Hallmark ornament was revealed was: “Are there going to be anymore action figure ornaments?” Thank the maker – we now have the answer to this question – and the answer is “Yes! There will be more Star Wars action figure ornaments!” The exciting news comes in the form of one of the Sand People, which were first seen in the 1977 hit movie, Star Wars, Episode IV – A New Hope on the planet of Tatooine, and have since been seen in other Star Wars movies and TV shows, such as The Book of Boba Fett. Just like the 2024 Darth Vader, the 2024 Sand People action figure ornament will come “mint in the package” – and looks very much like the original toy that was sold in stores back in the last 1970’s – but both are missing the “Kenner” logo in the bottom right hand corner (guessing this is due to licensing or trademark issues). No matter, Star Wars and Hallmark ornament fans alike are very excited to see that we will have more than just one action figure ornament – and many are VERY hopeful that this series can continue for many more Christmases to come. The 2024 Sand People ornament will first be available through the 2024 San Diego and New York Comic Cons – but do not worry if you are not able to attend, they will also be available at www.hallmarkornaments.com.

Another busy weekend….

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was relaxing yet fun. Time sure does fly on the weekends. There is always so much to do. Even with the daylight savings time giving us an extra hour I did not get everything done that I needed to.

Take Down Halloween…

Since Halloween is over, it was time to take down all of the Halloween decorations inside and outside. Taking down my Halloween tree takes some time because I like to put all of the Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments back in their original packaging and boxes. It just helps to keep them in great condition. We took down the lights outside too. This part did not take as long as Christmas lights but still took sometime. To reuse some of our Halloween decorations we took the stickers we used to decorate some pumpkins off of them and now have the pumpkins out on the front porch for Thanksgiving decorations.

To put up the Christmas decorations or not, that is the question….

It is always the big debate this time of year, when do you put out your Christmas decorations. Me personally, I say the day after Halloween is a good time. I just love Christmas decorations. Not everyone in my home feels that way though. We usually try to come up with a compromise.

Other fun things from the weekend….

We had a great opportunity to go to a concert this weekend. Let me tell you it was amazing! A true musician and talented singer. It was three hours of amazing music! We also got some cleaning and organizing that needed done done. I still have some laundry to get done but I can do that when I get home from working at the Ornament Factory today.

Better get back to work packing orders so they can get shipped out to all of you! Have a great rest of your Monday!

Hallmark Ornaments Make Their Debut for 2012

A Christmas tree is an iconic part of the holidays, and many families delight in passing ornaments down from one generation to the next while creating memories together with these special collectibles.  For many, ornament collecting is an integral part of the Christmas celebration, and Hallmark ornaments are some of the best-known and most coveted collectible ornaments available.

Each year, new Hallmark ornaments are released for a limited time; once they’re gone, these collectibles are no longer produced.  Ornaments become available in July and many newly-released collectibles are part of a series continued from previous years.  This allows avid collectors to obtain all of the parts of a single series if they wish.

The 2012 Hallmark ornaments include new additions to existing series as well as brand-new ornaments on a variety of themes.  There are 50 ornaments altogether in the 2012 Hallmark ornament collection.  Among them are several rare collector’s editions with a limited release, including the commemorative Kansas City event Hallmark ornament and  the specialty San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC) Hallmark ornament.

Hallmark ornament collectors will appreciate the wide variety of ornaments available.  Themes range from pop culture icons like Tom and Jerry, Tinkerbell, Iron Man, and Captain America to classical designs like peace doves, snowflakes, and angel messengers.  Other ornaments include animal-based designs, themed ornaments based on age, career or family status, and photo frame ornaments.

The prices for the 2012 Hallmark ornaments vary and some are rarer than others.  The priciest ornament on the 2012 Hallmark ornament list thus far is the San Diego Comic Convention 4-LOM and Zuckuss Star Wars Hallmark ornament; a very rare ornament that was limited to only 1,000 units produced!   Prices vary depending on rarity, with special event and limited edition Hallmark ornaments costing the most.

Whether a collector simply wants to add a single Hallmark ornament each year or plans to purchase an entire set of Hallmark ornaments, there’s a wide selection of ornaments available to appeal to people of all tastes.  A wide collection of themes ensure that collectors will find something of interest to them, and there are ornaments at multiple price points to ensure that no collector is unable to participate.
