4th of July

July 4th has always been special to all of the elves here at The Ornament Factory. We love getting to spend time watching fireworks with family. When we go we take fun snacks and activities for everyone to pass the time until the fireworks starts.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

It is that time of year. With all of the rain in April we will surely have beautiful May flowers. What are your favorite flowers to plant? Here at The Ornament Factory we like to plant petunias. The elves and I are going to have to have a meeting to select what color of flowers we are going to do this year. Jack the Elf is already busy working on the yard to make sure it is nice and green. On the inside we are getting the trees decorated for the season. Our Easter tress are almost done. A Cozy Evening on a Cold Winters Night

On a cold winter’s night it is nice to cozy up to the fire with a soft blanket and your dog and a special someone. With all of the cold weather we have been having here at The Ornament Factory a cozy evening by the fire sounds nice. We are going to be having some even colder temperatures in the next few days. Stay warm friends!

There is nothing better than sitting down with the one you love and enjoying your favorite television show. Mickey and Minnie are cozy and are watching their favorite show, ‘The Wonderful World of Disney.”

Snowy Mountain Lodge….

Press the button on the side of the ornament and skiers begin to descend the slope, skaters move around the pond, the fireplace inside the lodge flickers, and the pond glows a beautiful icy blue. This 2007 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament also plays “Let it Snow.”

I hope you all stay warm and hopefully can find sometime to relax with your loved ones. The other elves and I are have some fun planned for this week with the cold weather. We are going to have a chili cook off. Elliot the Head Elf is going to judge it. I cannot wait to taste what everyone comes up with. Another activity we have planned is to have a movie night with hot chocolate and popcorn. Jack the Elf is going to make a few different flavors of popcorn. He is on a cooking/baking kick lately. He has made some yummy treats.

A few weeks ago I did a blog on the Hallmark Keepsake series, Puppy Love. Just to balance it out here is the series from Hallmark Ornaments for the kitten lovers, Mischievous Kittens. The series started back in 1999 and has continued every year since.

Where it all started….

First in the Mischievous Kittens Hallmark Ornament Series is Mischievous Kittens #1. This is a hard to find ornament. This 1999 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features a very playful kitten who seems to want a goldfish as a friend.

As the years went on….

What a super Christmas toy this little kitten’s found-Before he even touches it,
it starts to roll around! Third in the Mischievous Kittens Hallmark Ornament Series, 2001 Mischievous Kittens #3 would be a great addition to your Christmas tree.

Mischievous Kitten #20 from the popular Mischievous Kitten series was first released in July of 2018. This has  a playful kitten sitting in a red box adorned with white snowflakes, playing and getting tangled in the lights and garland. This is a must have to the kitten lover in your life.

The Great Debate….

I have found over the years that when to put up your Christmas tree is a big debate. Some people start decorating in early fall (like the stores do these days) and others wait until after Thanksgiving or later.

The early decorators…

I have found it interesting what people have been posting online about putting trees up already. It’s amazing to see the Christmas spirit in this group! Some of the early decorators get a head start on decorating because it takes them a long time to decorate and they have a lot to put up and out. I have several friends who have a holiday party early in December so they want to be decorated for the party so they start early.

The Wait to Decorators….

On the other hand there are people who like to wait until after a certain date or just decorate close to Christmas. It is interesting to hear why people what to decorate.

Let’s be real, there is no right or wrong answer to this great debate. It is whatever you feel is best for you. Some people would like to see the Christmas season longer and some would like it shorter. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Outside Decorating…

For outside decorating it is easier to get lights and decorations out when the weather is nicer. Just because it is up does not mean that you have to turn it on if you do not want to.

The Good News for everyone!

This good news is for everyone, the ones who want their trees up now and the ones who like to hold off. You can always order your Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments from The Ornament Factory! You can always help a friend of loved one out and order an ornament or two for them too.

Barbie, the iconic doll, that children have played with for years. Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments created a collection of Barbie for everyone who has enjoyed Barbies. The Barbie Hallmark Keepsake Collection is one of the most popular collections Hallmark Ornaments has. There is a gap in the ornaments from 2012-2015 due to a licensing agreement but thankfully Barbie was able to make a return the Hallmark Ornaments.
